author Alexander of Alexandria
work: Discourse on the Incarnation of our Lord, and on the Soul and the Body
CPG 2004
note This work exists in a long and short version; the long version is preserved in Coptic and has usually been attributed to Athanasius, while the short version has survived in Syriac and is attributed to Alexander. However, the judgment of modern scholars is that this attribution is spurious, and the work is in fact the work of Melito of Sardis (see Quaestiones Melitonianae 2: the fragments on soul and body).  Also see Budge below. pp. xlv-xlix.
