Taken from Dr. Glen Thompson’s The Correspondence of Pope Julius I, page xxxii:

Julius, a Roman by birth, son of Rusticus, was bishop for fifteen years, two months, and seven days. This was in the time of Constantine, beginning in the consulship of Felicianus and Maximinus. He established that no clergyman was to bring a case to the public courts. He performed three December ordinations, at which he ordained eighteen priests and four deacons as well as nine bishops for various places. He was buried on the Via Aurelia in the cemetery of Calipodius at the third milestone on April 12. The bishopric was then vacant for twenty-five days.
