For the man rightly received authority not only over things on earth but also over things in heaven. For if, as the apostle said, “all things were created for him, both things in heaven and things on earth” (Col 1:16) when he both became “man” and “mediator of God and men” (1 Tim 2:5), then it follows that we can know precisely that he has been given authority not only over the things on earth, but also over things in heaven.
