The Logos of the invisible God was going to be born of a virgin and to take upon himself human flesh, so that through it he might prevail over the devil who had previously overpowered man, and prepare not only for man [lit. "him"] to be incorruptible and immortal, but also to be seated on the throne in heaven with God.
