So this chief point of Proverbs says, “the Lord created me” (Pro 8:22), not because it was intended to present the beginning of the divinity of our Savior, as they think, but because it was intended to present the second dispensation according to the flesh. And therefore it recalls appropriately the creation of the human flesh.
