But John, the holy Apostle and disciple of the Lord, teaches plainly and explicitly at the beginning of his Gospel that he was previously unknown among men and names him the Word of the Almighty, saying, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and they Word was God” (Jn 1:1), indicating the eternity of the Word with not just one testimony.
