Fragment number Vinzent 88
Klostermann 59
Ancient source used Eusebius Against Marcellus 2.2; Ecclesiastical Theology 2.15,
Modern edition M. Vinzent, Markell von Ankyra: Die Fragmente (Leiden, 1997).

For God needed nothing else to be ready for creation—no sort of material or any other human preparation—except the readiness in his thinking. Therefore since it was impossible for God to consider creating heaven apart from his reason, the Word, and the Wisdom which belongs to the Word, it was rightly said, “When he prepared heaven I was together with him” (Pro 8:27).
